Spirit of the Marathon

I had the opportunity last night to see Spirit of the Marathon at our local cineplex. For those unaware of the film, it is a documentary type film that traces the lives of 5 different marathoners as they prepare and race in the 2005 Chicago Marathon.

The best recommendation I could give it, is that if you have a chance to watch it, do it! If you have a chance to purchase it when it comes out on DVD, do it! I think it is a great way to expose the non-runner to the joys and pains of distance running. The movie is well-paced, the stories are compelling and I even enjoyed the soundtrack (which is available on iTunes).

Definitely a thumbs up! (That's not copyrighted is it??)
